Matthew read law at Cambridge University, graduating in 1999. He went on to qualify as a solicitor with a Cambridge firm in 2004. In 2008, Matthew joined the Bury St Edmunds office of Grant Thornton to work in their tax department, passing the Chartered Institute of Taxation exams the following year.
Matthew currently advises Churchgates’ clients on all aspects of personal and business taxes, estate planning and trust advisory work, including VAT and corporate governance, with a particular specialism in Stamp Duty Land Tax. Matthew is able to draw on his legal and tax qualifications and experience to provide broad-based tax advice on a wide range of projects and transactions.
Matthew lives near Bury St Edmunds with his wife and three children.
